Healing Buddha also known as Bhaisajyaguru, is said to dispense spiritual medicine when properly worshipped. He is also known as Medicine Buddha. It is even belived tha an efficacious cure may be accomplised by merely touching the image. In Tibet, he is represented, either as Buddha or a Bodhisattva. As a Buddha, he was the urn (small round bulge or protuberance above the bridge of the nose), the fourth superior marks of the Buddhha Ushnisha ( a bulge or protuberance in the skull of the buddha the first superior marks of aBuddha), short and curly hair. He wears a monastic robe, is seated with the legs crossed. His left hand lying in his lap in meditation mudra (posture), usually holding a medicine bowl, while the right hand resting in charity mudra, holds either a branch with fruit, or the fruit alone of the myrobalan, a medicinal plant found in India and other tropical countries.
