Phurba is a ritual dagger or nail with three sides. Known also as ‘Kila’ in Sanskrit, Phurba is an essential ritual item in Buddhism and is used in many rituals. Phurba serves to bind and hold down negative energies or obstacles generated by entities and purify these entities like a person or human thought. A phurba consist of triangular pointed end with a ‘Makara’ (Half crocodile and half elephant monster) at the top of the triangular base. Upper part of this Phurwa is a beautifully handcrafted.
